Illustrierter Spielteppich für das Berliner Unternehmen kinderkiez, welches sich auf die Fahne geschrieben hat, den Kindern die Welt (als Spielteppich) zu Füßen zu legen – mit pädagogischem Ansatz: Kinder, die selbstbewusst, sicher und voller Neugierde ihre Nachbarschaft entdecken ist das Ziel von kinderkiez.
Meine Aufgabe war es dabei einen Spielteppich der Metropolis Serie für die Stadt München zu illustrieren und zu gestalten sowie die finalen Druckdaten zu erstellen.
Der flächig, bunte illustratorische Stil sollte dabei kindgerecht ikonisch sein, verspielt und akkurat.
Dafür habe ich viele Münchner Sehenswürdigkeiten illustriert, die das Stadtbild (vor allem aus Kindersicht prägen) und die Stadt illustratorisch mit Leben gefüllt, die Straßenzüge orientieren sich an den größten Verkehrsadern der Stadt.
Der Spielteppich ist in Größe M und L erhältlich, das Design gibt es auch Poster.

Illustrated playmat for the Berlin-based company kinderkiez, which is dedicated to putting the world at children's feet (as a playmat) - with an educational approach: children discovering their neighborhood confidently, safely and full of curiosity is the goal of kinderkiez.
My task was to illustrate and design a play carpet of the Metropolis series for the city of Munich and to create the final print data.

To achieve this, I illustrated many Munich landmarks that characterize the cityscape (especially from a child's point of view) and filled the city with life; the streets are based on the city's major arteries.
